Administrators AWS Posted February 19, 2013 Administrators Posted February 19, 2013 IE is set as the default browser, it has all its defaults, but when I do Win key + Q and type internet Internet Explorer is not found. I went to Internet OptionsPrograms in IE on the desktop and set it to open up everything in Metro IE. It opens, but I still don't have the option of pining it to the Start Screen. If I pin a site to Start, it doesn't appear (does if using IE on the desktop). Also when IE Metro is open it doesn't show up (it's blacked out) if I browse the open applications by hovering to the left corner of the screen. It shows up just fine if I Alt + Tab. Please let me know how can I get IE back, the problem persists on all of our domain machines (corporate image) that was syspreped, deployed with MDT/WDS with these features removed: dism /online /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:microsoft.microsoftskydrive_16.4.4204.712_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe dism /online /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_16.4.4206.722_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe dism /online /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:Microsoft.XboxLIVEGames_1.0.927.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbw and also IE on the desktop was copied to C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStartMenuPrograms, this has now been removed for the Default and all other user accounts. IE Metro clearly is on all machines, I just can't add it to the Start Screen...a problem since we're starting to get tablets. sfc /scannow completes without errors. View the full article Quote
