... have no idea why, but just an observation, intuitive test and action ... and yes taking roaming profile offline creates the problem ... taking it back online fixes the problem ... but have not looked into why and how Google Search or another

webpage can have problems with the availability of a roaming profile (Google Search use of flash can now affect its menus?).
