Windows 11

Been happening since December. Clean windows install performed. Tested all hardware components multiple times with success each time. Updated to latest BIOS. By process of elimination, I upgraded to a new PSU with more wattage. Nothing has helped. Lowering the settings in the games helps reduce restarts but not completely. Back in 2023 when I moved I had to get a new number. However, when I set the account up prior it was under my old number and I never changed it and now forgotten the password. After I got my new number. I still had the password to the account at that time. But now I cannot access my account. I have my microsoft account signed in on my laptop. I've been doing research, filling out forms, calling support numbers, and using alternative email accounts. But nothing seems to be working. My microsoft account is still signed in on my laptop. My brother all in one scanner printer has started having issues with the scanner drivers. I've uninstalled and reinstalled three times and contacted brother. They're telling me there's an issue with Windows 11. After doing research I see complaints about this as far back as December 2024. I'm a little confused why Microsoft forced my computer to do the update knowing that they had this issue and they had not addressed it. Has anyone found a way to get the drivers installed correctly? I only have one account on my computer and it has administrator privileges, but I'm still unable to do anything that requires those privileges. The only power option I have available is lock and when I do Ctrl + Alt + Delete the only option that comes up is lock again. When I try to use task manager it says "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator," even though I have never disabled it. In the latest update to Windows 11 24H2 on February 25, 2025, preview version KB5052093 (OS build 26100.3323), when I click on the settings menu to open it, it does NOT do it, it does nothing. If I do it using the keyboard WIN + I, I get it. I used Event Viewer to figure out the event that is triggered when a USB drive is inserted into my Microsoft Surface Pro 9 running Windows 11. I then attached a task to that particular event to start a program, however, even though I see that specific event is logged in the Event Viewer, the task to launch the program doesn't get executed. I have a Fujitsu fi-7280 scanner operating with PapersStream App. I purchased this scanner about 12 years ago and it has work perfectly for my business operating system. Windows 11 update 24H2 is not compatible with the PaperStream App and the scanner fails. Fujitsu advises that Microsoft is failing to make their changes to 24H2 to solve the compatibility issue. After getting daily BSODs I've been trying to fix the issue by installing updated drivers etc. and I've arrived at the point where I think reinstalling Windows 11 (keeping all my files and apps) might help. Hi: Over the past week or two, each time my dual screens auto lock on a timer or the machine goes into sleep mode, File Explorer is closed when I unlock the machine.It's quite an annoying bug because I typically keep several tabs open in File Explorer for the work that I do, and I have to navigate back to where I was prior to the screen lock, reopen all the tabs etc.Is there a fix in progress from Microsoft for this issue?ThanksGeorgeView the full article
