Depuis plus d'un mois j'ai des problèmes avec mon imprimante elle se retrouve dans les périphériques non spécifié. J'ai rejoint un technicien de microsoft nous avons travailler sur ce problème pendant 4 jours sans trouver de solutions, mon ordi est une bombe processeur I7 ect... Mais imaginez un ordi qui fonctionne très bien sans pouvoir imprimer. La seule solution c'est de désinstaller le service pack 1 et mon imprimante fonctionne pendant quelques jours sans problème, quand toutes les mises à jours ce sont installées, je ne peux plus me servir de mon imprimante. J'utilise Windows 7 édition familiale premium, je ne veux pas installer windows 8 sans savoir si mon problème soit résolue. View this thread

My sound has suddenly stopped working. I am running vista 64 with realtek HD audio. Device manager says all is working properly, realtek control works in that I can test the 5.1 surround sound and all speakers work from the pc. In control panel/device manager I see the bar graph going up and down with the music from a CD in the drive but no audio comes out of the speakers or from headphones plugged into the pc, the same is true playing any audio file either from the hard drive or via the internet. I've been trying everything including restore to when all was well but still no joy, it's driving me nuts can anyone suggest what I need to do to fix it please? Thanks Bob View this thread

I'm running XP Pro sp3 on an X40 ThinkPad. Of the last 9 critical updates, the 4 which were not for .net worked, as well as 2 of the .net updates for .net 3.5 and .net 4. But three, KB2742597 for .net 1.1 sp1, KB2742596 for .net 2.0 sp 2 and KB2756918 for .net 3.0 sp2, failed. I tried using automatic update, the windows update site and manual updates, all with the same result. I get no error message. Instead, the update begins and later stops without ending the install program. The installer can not be stopped. If I try to cancel, it says it's cancelling but nothing happens. In this state, the only way to get out of windows is to use the power button. In case I was trying to quit too soon, I left one running all night, with the same result. What needs to be done? This update showed up this morning (1-24-2013) it states 2.3mb, which is very large compaired to normal updatess to Microsoft Security Essistials. I get error code 80096010. have tried Microsoft "Fit-It", No help. Checked disk for errors, etc. View this thread

I have installed the Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) windows update for Windows 8. After downloading, running it, accepting the license and conducting a successful installation, two problems arise: The installed update hasn't appeared in the Installed Updates list with Programs and Features. The RSAT options haven't appeared in the Turn Windows features on or off list within Programs and Features. According to many threads within this forum, there appears to be an issue with the English (UK) language pack. The issue is apparently resolved once the English (US) pack is installed. Well, the English (US) pack appears in the Languages section of my build however the issue still occurs. Does this pack need to be set as the main language? If so, I'm unable to do that at present. I tried to remove an entire group of start items from the &quotall apps&quot start screen. I followed a link to a shortcut and removed the short cut. I have already removed the app. (actually an entire group of apps, Qt 5.0.0). Now the Qt 5.0.0 &quotstart group&quot is still on the start screen, and when I click on any item, it goes to the desktop. How do I remove these zombies from the start screen? why am i getting Blue srceen in windows 8? Hi all, I have a problem , I am very new here so I don't know exactly what to do.I have new HP laptop(less than 2 months old) I am using windows 8 , recently my pc is restarting automatically , the first message was 1) System_service_exception and second time it happened was this msg 2) IRQ_NOT LESS_THAN blah blah message. I don't know what to do I have attached my .dmp file here ,pls have a look and reply ASAP.I use avast antivirus. I also use Ubuntu 12.10 LTS in virtual box. is that causing problem because after installing it only BSOD started to appear. i love Ubuntu so I will not uninstall it . is there any other alternative for it. I use my PC whole day and keep downloading stuff from bit torrent etc . but I shut it down before going to sleep. The BSOD is really unexpected I cant predict when it happens.I am using VirtualBox 4.2. This is only required to run any guest OS in your host OS.I have windows 8 Home edition not Pro.Yesterday night I again got the same error and it happened almost at the same time as it happened day before yesterday. I have also uninstalled avast AV and installed Adaware AV now and also updated all my drivers . I don't want it to repeat causing damage to my laptop. And one strange thing is that I get all my folders and files appear in blue color. What might be the reason? I have also removed Ubuntu guest OS from my system and all related components , it was my favourite.I have attached the related files . I have a HP G36CA Laptop, the problem with it is that recently it went hey-wire and was acting slow very very slow as well as some odd things ended up happening such as admin password being asked during program installation and the password was not the same as I always use to login as this was my own Laptop only used by me so I was the only admin on it. In any event, one day I had enough of this **** and slowness I choose to restore it to factory state with possibility of getting rid of inability to install programs and possibly increase speed. But I was dead wrong, this move actual revealed that for some odd reason the recovery partition was not being read while it was clearly showing up if I was logged in. And because I do not have a recovery CD or anything with Windows 7 on it there is no way for restoring it other then possibly obtaining a downloadable ISO which I can burn onto CD/DVD and using the key on the Windows 7 sticker re-install the system. Meanwhile I am using Ubuntu 12.10 as an alternative. Any suggestions as to how I can possibly get Windows 7 back onto the machine? Or would I need to find an ISO and just use the key to do the trick? windows 8 restarted the boss's computer without the option to postpone it and lost everything open. This is such a fatal flaw we are not going to roll out windows 8 until we have confirmed this is fixed at any of our clients. What a disaster! There is no obvious way to disable this! Please show us where to set it in group policy or in the settings to ban this behavior, I can't believe windows shipped without this being fixed! View the full article

I have stopped all Startup functions using Msconfig and Task Manager, disabled anti-virus (Trend Micro), Nvidia Drivers. Running windows 8, came pre-installed on Dell Inspirion with 8 GB memory and 1 TB hard drive. This laptop is less than 2 months old (purchased new through brick &amp mortar retail store). I was able to get all other updates to install manually by doing the above things, and have tried many other solutions (including windows support pages referencing the problem). Still unable to install Update KB2779768. Get error code &quotWindowsUpdate_80070003 WindowsUpate_dt000&quot. Says Failure to update configuration ... reverting changes, do not turn off computer. I just installed my second Windows 8 OS at home, had also done one at work. The first was a 'from scratch', the second an upgrade but 'leave nothing' The last one an upgrade and leave everything. But this last one comes up with the 'blueish/green' splash screen and has 'Press Ctrl Alt Del to sign in' in the top left corner. And indeed only then (not after a mouse click) the actual login screen appears. The first two don't have that. just a mouse click is enough to get the login screen. Why the difference?
