  1. Ever since I got this unit, I have been unable to get the DVD drive to work. I right click on properties and it shows all drivers are up to date. The picture of the disk shows 0 space available and 0 free space?! The driver hardware reads hp CDDVDW TS-L633R and notes that the device is working properly?! Whatever disk I put in, it ejects and give me a message to insert a disk in to drive E (the DVD drive). Has anyone encountered this problem and then able to resolve it? View the thread

Both M/S and lenovo deny responsibility -M/S because it is an OEM and the computer manufacturer should be responsible - they sent these docs:http://answers.m http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/windows-7-oem-license-agreement/3d8ca9b8-faab-4500-a455-e48d46509d05 (for an end user who wanted to buy OEM off the internet) http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/windows-7-oem-license-agreement/3d8ca9b8-faab-4500-a455-e48d46509d05 (licensing info but no mention of warranty responsibililty)Lenovo says they only warranty harddriveThanksLinda H. The notice says the updates are being installed and the computer turns off. Surely there can't be that many updates. Is something wrong and is there something I can or should do? View the thread

  9. I am having trouble uninstalling Microsoft Flight Simulator X from my computer. It currently runs Windows Vista. According to the messages I get after I go through the usual unsinstall routine, the program has been removed but when I look at the Programs and Features screen, the program is still there and is taking up 104GB of space on my C drive. I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to go about deleting it from my computer. View this thread

  21. I bought Dell computer with pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium. I had a problem with the system firewall recently and found that the only solution is to reinstall the Windows. I downloaded .iso with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 because my current version was already upgraded to SP1. After I installed it, it asked me to enter the product key. I provided the product key but it says it's a wrong key and I realized that my product key must be for Windows 7 Home Premium without SP1. I downloaded .iso with Windows 7 Home Premium without SP1 but I can't install it now because it says that my current version is newer than the one I'm trying to install. What can I do now about this?? Can I get a product key to Win 7 Home Premium SP1 if I already have Win 7 Home Premium? The service pack 1 is free anyway... View the thread

  23. I was offered from a web site an original copy of Windows XP Sp3 (they supposedly had 20 to 30 of them). I asked if it had a Certificate Of Authenticity (holographic thingee with s/n and key), and the response was the same.. &quotIt's an original oem copy that will work on any brand of machine&quot. Now, for $35 dollars, I may take the risk (I'd see the Statue Of Liberty raise her left hand for $35). My question.. if this is a cheap knock-off, illegal copy and I load it then go to Microsoft's Update site, will I be able to download Microsoft Security Essentials, Internet Explorer 8, and have access to all the Updates that those products require?
