My Windows Vista Home Basic shows that my Product Key is in use (the Desktop has the message that "This copy of Windows is not genuine". I cannot activate it (reactivate...I purchased the computer new with Windows Vista Home Basic pre-installed 4 years ago) and get code: 0xC004F050. Last week I spent 3 hours on the phone with a Microsoft Customer Service Rep. who tried everything he could through remote access. Even 2 different new Product Keys didn't work, nor did using the Clean Installation from the 3 webpages I was advised to try. I created a secondary administrators account not really knowing it, and need to delete it. I followed the directions I found in the help section, but there was no delete account like the directions suggested. Need help deleting that secondary administrators account. Can someone help me? I've just put together a nice new PC with an ASrock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard, and Logitech Wireless Wave Combo MK550 keyboard and mouse. Now, the mouse and keyboard are happily recognised via the system setup mode by the motherboard. However, if I boot off the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit install media, it doesn't recognise the mouse or keyboard. I'm presuming the Logitech gear is simply not recognised by the initial bootup from the install media(?). I'm probably going to have to find a standard Microsoft wired, or even wireless, keyboard and any old USB mouse in order to get the installation done. Anyone else had a similar experience? I have attempted SP1 from Update 20 times and it always fails. Tried a few times from stand alone - it downloaded, verified and began installation only to have an "internal error". I may have erred when I installed Server SQL 2008 in an attempt at packages that supported SP1. Do I have to have server 2003 at this point or what. I am not that bright. View this thread

I've just installed Windows 7 on a sandisk 120gb SSD drive. In "my computer" the drive is showing 67.2GB free of 111GB. This make the install around 43GB!!! which seems to much. Any ideas? View the thread

Hi i recently performed a hardware upgrade on my PC and because of the limitations that 32 bit windows possess i now want to install the 64 bit version. Could use some help. Since I moved my system partition to an SSD, I get BSOD 'driver power state failure' errors. Randomly. Shutting down certain hardware (e.g. USB 3.0) doesn’t help.
