Are you sure this was a Windows 7 Microsoft System Message ??

The Internet is full of sites sticking Pop Ups on screen to con us into

Buying

this or that Virus or Updated Checker.

My Win 7 has sometimes seemed to have "forgotten its registration" .

Do a Restart or just leave it for a bit..

MS is often trying to get us to do there Online Authentication thing ..

the message may just be a Nag...its only saying "MAY Be Running an Invalid

copy"

Yeah - I got it. Except that given many opportunities to 'put up or shut

up' with your accusations of my lying, you have NEVER produced one

example. Real problem for you, eh frankie.

BTW - there's more than one reason MS is called an 'invalid'.

But there is only one reason liux is called a POS useless toy os.

Yesterday my PC did the same as the original poster's. Microsoft have

stated that occasionally when the system 'thinks' your disk contents have

changed a lot it will require you to verify the copy you have and remake the

file it holds against which it does the check. Doesn't bother me, though it

is ridiculous paranoia. Microsoft was a bit of a cheating company, mucking

up other companies' software to plug its own, while Bill Gates was there,

but since he left it has gone a bit soft in the head. When you buy

software these days, instead of them asking you whether your machine is good

enough to run it, you have to ask them whether the software will work under

Windows 7. Even if it says so on the box, it sometimes doesn't.

However, the message can only be a surprise to people who did not install

and authenticate Windows 7 themselves.

What a crock of shit. Most people think that Linux/Ubuntu is a piece of

shit. Imagine, Linux has been free for 20+ years and ubuntu has been free

for 5+ years. You would think that a free product would be on every

machine. Imagine, getting an OS without paying for it: legally. Tell me

why is Linux still on less than one percent of the desktop machines out

there? I'll tell you why. People don't like it and people don't want it.

It is rejected as garbage by most.

Why wouldn't I want a free OS and a free Office Suite? Because they SUCK.

That's why. Oops.

I doubt if everyone running Windows trusts Microsoft. I use it

because it's the most convenient for me -- I've tried Linux and it

always has some problem with hardware that I can't solve. Mind

you, so did Windows 7 x64, so maybe I'm no further ahead with this

version of Windows than I would be with Linux.

What a crock of shit. Most people don't even know what Linux is! Imagine,

MS has had a virtual monopoly on every system sold for 20 years and they

still can't crack 90% - it ought to be at least 99.9. You would think

that a system that comes of virtually every machine sold would have an

absolute monopoly yet most internet servers in the world don't use it!

If most all computers that are sold came with an OS then there wouldn't

not be any use for big box stores like Fry's or any of the hundreds of

Internet stores selling hardware/software components. Face it you lying

snake, a lot of people build their own.
