That's because it's listed under David's reply to 'Re: spybot question'.
I don't want to tackle your question, but someone probably or hopefully
will.
It may wind up to be a fairly simple solution.
Try to be patient, there are not too many people around anymore as often.
Meanwhile give 'Mr. Google' a try.

Harry.

Nellie,
First of all, I didn't understand a word of your question. Try asking
it again and put it in simple English without all the "text messaging"
abbreviations.....all I can get out of this is that you are missing some
'text.' Oh yeah, try using complete sentences with punctuation. If all
else fails, present your recomposed question to the Spybot forum (people who
deal with this program) at: http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=4
Heirloom, old and not trying to be rude...just helpful.

You didn't offend anyone, at least, not me. I would like to ask, however,
does you keyboard lack a 'shift' key?...or maybe the "." key??....or any of
the other 'punctuation' keys??? I can readily understand why the Spybot
forum would have sent you to the Me forum.......they were unable to
interpret your question.

Admittedly, I am old and not used to the 'modern day' methods of
communication, I hate to 'press 1 for English', and I try very hard to spell
correctly without the use of a spellchecker. I really like to see the use
of punctuation marks that enhance readability.

I know a little about Spybot and am rather deft at using Google, so, please,
present your question again, in a manner that even an old fart like me can
understand and I will be more than happy to help if I possibly can.
Heirloom, old and color me out-of-date.

I'm only guessing here but do you mean the "Text Labels" beneath each of the
icons on the Toolbar naming each of the icons. (e.g. Send, Cut, Copy, Paste,
etc., in Outlook Express)

If so, right-click on a clear area of the Toolbar and select 'Customise' and
set "Text Options" to 'Show text labels'.

And if that isn't your problem, please describe it more detail because, like
Heirloom, I don't fully understand your question.

Well said Heirloom, I'm another one that didn't understand it. I know Kelly
hates using my phone because I will insist on using predictive text and not
the shorthand that she uses <g>
Trouble is as well I don't keep my posts for that long so haven't got any
other posts from her at the moment so I couldn't see what she had already
done <g>

Having to put up with a lot of banging at the moment had new fascias and
guttering and now they are re-seating some of my roof tiles that were
lifting and as it's a bungalow they are right overhead <g>

I was under the impression that her text was missing from something in
Spybot. And, here I thought I was the only one that didn't
understand.....well, Joanie, too! <g>.

Heirloom, old and crap!...I'm using those abbreviations
and symbols myself!....oh, the shame.

You could well be right HL, however, the subject line does mention Sptbot
(sic) <g>. But nellie 'appears' to ask a further (unconnected?) question. So
using my Hercule Poirot book of detection, I'm probably just as far away
from the answer as anyone else. And I hate predictive text too. It never
predicts whatever I want to write!

I think you may be taking offence where there is none either intended or
given.

You posted part of a seemingly (to me) closed Spybot issue and appeared to
open another issue within the same thread which was directed to a WinMe news
group. I therefore ASS-U-MEd you were asking a WinMe related question. A
clearer description of the problem might have resulted in a clearer
response.

However, as you've now confirmed that your problem is not WinMe related, but
a problem with Spybot and I don't use Spybot, I can't really help you.

If the problem only affects Spybot, you may have a faulty installation -
corrupted file?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Spybot to see if that fixes it?

Oh! and by the way, my personal issues with predictive text bear no
relationship to race, creed, sex or disability of any form. I've already
explained why I don't like using it. I didn't suggest for a moment that
others shouldn't use it - for whatever reason.

"nelli":
As Mark already suggested, try to re-install the program with version 1.5.2.
You can go right over top of your present installation.
Let us know how you made out.

No one made fun of you......so stop mewling!!

And go find a Spybot forum to get your problem sorted out. It has
nothing to do with WinME.

Excuse me, who's making fun of who ?

I was replying to Heirloom agreeing that I couldn't understand your post and
explaining that I only keep my posts for a couple of days so had no post
showing from you anywhere.

The subject was also with regards to Spybot and I don't use it so even if
I'd known what you were talking about I wouldn't be able to help and later
you say you had tried Spybot but they said a WinME newsgroup would know all
about their program, sorry but that doesn't make sense.

Heirloom

Let us just break this down for your clarification and mine. (I will
apologize ahead of time for using these confusing capital letters at the
beginning of a sentence and dividing my statements up with little marks,
like a period.)

"how cruel" (by-the-way, the " is a quotation mark, this means that I am
'quoting' something you said)
I will take this as two seperate words, since there is nothing
to indicate otherwise. 'how'.....this could be indian talk for 'hi.' Or,
it could be a question, in and of itself......'how?' Or, it could be the
manner, way, state, extent, amount, degree, reason, purpose, meaning, name,
measure, what, or, as an intensive!! Hey! An 'intensive'...could that
possibly be it? Nah, since you used 'cruel' as the second word, we will go
with manner. So, now we have: In what manner? Cruel.
However, we still have no idea what or who is functioning in a cruel
manner....let's investigate further!

"why do you make fun of people different from you" (really not sure if this
should be taken line by line, just a stab in the dark). First word:
"why." This could be in reference to the reason, cause or purpose, but,
just as easily, it could mean with mild surprise, indignation or impatience.
I have no idea, so, let's just go with the first one....reason. So, now we
have: For what reason (why) do (very good!) you (that would be ME) make fun
of people different from you(?) The simple answer to that one would be, "I
do not" or "I did not." No where in my response did I 'make fun' of anyone!
Show me where you think I did and I will prove you wrong. I digress, let's
move along.

"do you make fun of the diabled [sic] too" (the "[sic]" part means that you
probably mispelled something, but, maybe not) Making some BIG assumptions
here, I will guess that you believe I might 'make fun' of people with dual
abilities, also. Heck no! I am impressed with folks that can do two
things, especially at once! Oh, wait a minute, I bet you really meant
'diSabled', right? Then the answer to that would be, "Heck yes!" Being
handicapped myself, I think it's a riot! Dang waterheads and wheelmasters,
who do they think they are, anyway?? I'm tired of them getting all the good
parking spots! (oops, scratch that.....I would have to give up my blue
placard and park far away!)

"wow" World of Warcraft. I don't know crap about that.

"how sad" Here we go again.....In what manner? Sad. Not me, Honey.
I'm happier than a single fly on a fresh cow plop.

"my problem is with the spybot program" Well, even without capitals and
punctuation, this one is pretty good....you have a problem with the Spybot
application. Let's go further and try to determine what that problem might
be.

"i have no text next to the icons" OK. What icons? Spybot has many
icons, some have text and some do not. It would be real helpful if we knew
just exactly which icons are lacking the text. Have you been messing with
the skins or the color settings???? Is it possible you may have set the
background color the same as the text color? (If they are both the same
color you won't be able to see them when they occupy the same area!) Let's
go on........

"simple" Are you calling me a name? Is the problem simple? Did you
mispell 'pimple?' , etc. Once again, on an assumption, let's figure the
problem is 'simple.' Then I have a question: If the problem is simple, why
do you not have an answer yourself?

"nellie" Lacking a salutation, this may or may not be a name.....probably
not a name....names are CAPITALIZED. Do you know the definition of
'nellie?' Check this out, you may find it amusing (then again, you may
not):
nelly or nellie n. Offensive Slang. , pl. -lies . Used as a disparaging term
for an effeminate homosexual man.
You should probably start using the shift key with the beginning of your
name to avoid any confusion.

I certainly hope this clarifies things. It is truly amazing what a little
punctuation, grammar and structure can do to a sentence and/or paragraph.
Making fun, no, Nellie, not making fun. I laugh WITH you, not AT you. You
must maintain a sense of humor to get by in this world, otherwise, it will
seem 'cruel' to you.

As stated previously, I will be more than happy to help any way I can....so
long as I know the issue.
L8RG8R LEMENO AEAP JJA GGFN CUL8R TCOY EOM
Heirloom, old and you probably got all of
the last line.
