BIOS v38 on SER7 AMD was recognizing a clean win11x64 pro install, now no longer recognizes the nvme. Same exact pattern has occurred x2 on identical NVMEs. BIOS, win11 install partition selector, and diskpart all do not recognize the NVMEs anymore (4TB nvme 2280 ssd). Swapping NVME locations from the internal nvme connector to the external connector does nothing. The BIOS setting are unchanged. No new firmware was installed between both NVME SSD failures. I had to build a new machine to go to W 11. I started the build on 12/23/24 and finished on 12/27/24 when I downloaded the ISO file for W 11 Pro from Microsoft to a flash drive and installed it on that date. My current OS build is v 24H2, build 26100.2605. I haven't used the machine much as I haven't had the time to transfer files from the W 10 one. I am up-to-date on all W 11 updates. A while ago I updated what i think to be bios through the settings app, and ever since that update I've been experiencing very annoying crashes. It only happens every now and then but it has multiple instances. the first can be that i turn my laptop on and it immediately gives me a blue screen like this one. I have just upgraded to MS Windows 11 Pro (from 10 Pro), and there are a lot of things that have changed.I used to be able to take a screenshot of the entirety of my 1st monitor and the inactive windows of that monitor would be blurred out.The only problem is, I don't know if this was being achieved by a 3rd party program that I may not have installed on my new setup, or if it was a Microsoft feature.In any case, when I take a screenshot now, both active AND inactive windows show up unimpeded.Can someone please tell me if this was a Microsoft feature that is now gone (and if so - is there any View the full article

My laptop lenovo ideapad gaming 3 is getting bsod only when charging. When it’s unplugged it works normally. I even ran some test that tests every component directlly downloaded from manufacturer site and there was no error. Tried switching ram, ssd, new charger and still happens. Only thing, when I bought new charger, everything was fine for a day and then started to happen again. It constantly happens, sometimes on boot sometimes u can us it for some time. I'm running Windows 11 Pro 24H2, build 26100.3194. Just a check, I tried to run the Defender offline scan on my computer. After opening Windows Security and selecting Virus & Threat Protection, Scan Options, Microsoft Defender Antivirus (offline scan), then selecting Scan I get the popup warning that the system will be shutdown and to save my work. Selecting Scan again in the popup does nothing.I did a computer restart thinking that the offline scan would start after the reboot, but Windows just starts normally. I am having an issue on my Lenovo yoga 9i dual screen that just started in the last few days. About every ten minutes or so my mouse click function will stop working. I can still navigate in the browser, but I am not able to switch to other applications. Scroll pad exhibits the same problem. Pressing alt+ctrl+del and clicking twice on task manager seems to fix it temporarily, but the problem comes back in a few minutes. Anyone have any thoughts?View the full article
