Hi I'm having a problem where every time I shut my computer down, it says installing update 1 of 1 but it fails to install. My operating system is XP. I've checked replies to similar questions but nothing's worked. I found the number for the update that wouldn't install, (KB2742597) ran the fixit and then went to the Download centre to install it manually. It started to install but after a few seconds this message appeared: The feature that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. The path CDOCUME"IOwnerLOCALS"ITempXP000"TMPnetfix.msi" cannot be found. It offered an alternative path but that didn't work either. It's so frustrating - can you help? Thanks View this thread

always fails error BC2 I have used fix it and it installs but then it comes back to install and fails again. also the pc crashes every now and again more often than not now. blue screen etc i have run a memory diagnostic and no memory problems. i go back to restore in safe mode and that works for a while and then it happens again. have installed pc health boost to fix errors and that helped for a while am up and running again, do not know how long it will run this time.help. i have acer aspire x1300 bought in 2009 View this thread

I plan to purchase the Windows 8 upgrade and would like to run dual OS on my computer. Can I use this version to create a dual boost system? I do not want to lose Windows 7 Pro. I have a few applications that require flash player to be installed. They were working up till a month or so ago. Now when i try to run them it says flash is not installed. When I go into Internet Explorer and go to adobe's website, it shows i don't have flash player installed, nor will any flash apps work in IE. I followed their guide of uninstalling and re installing but the KB they ask me to uninstall doesn't exist, when i try to download the installer it says its not compatible with my OS. I have a HP laptop which came with Vista 32 bit. My young nephew upgraded it to Window 7. Then, by error I installed Win 7 home premiumto. I tried to recover the OS to its original status, but could not solve the problem and bought Win 7 Ultimate. My struggle to return my laptop to its original status was not resolved. Finally, I bought a set of recovery disks from an HP patner. Then, these recovery disks solved the problem. Now, I have my laptop in its original status and can use softwares, which I have and which only work with Vista 32 bit. At the same time, I have 3 genuine versions of Windows 7: one is an upgrade version, another one is a home premium version and the third one is a Win 7 Ultimate version. I Deserve to be called Dummy. But, can I deactivate/deregister the 3 version of Win 7 that I have. All of them are genuine. Could anyone assist me please? Reza View the thread

My life cam will work great for a month, maybe 2 months, then it just quits working. I reinstall, reset, do everything in the trouble shooter, nothing works. Unless I plug it into a differnt USB port, then it works fine, if I plug it into a port I used befor, it will not work.Even after I get it working again on a new port, it will not work on the old usb port, everything else will works in those ports, but not the lifecam. I have gone through the computer, it's not the computer, even after a total reinstall of the entire operating system. I will get no errors on any thing, it just quits working, and never works in that port again. It does the same thing in a port hub. I have test equipment to test the electronics in the ports them selves, there is nothing wrong, it just quits working in that port and never works in it again. Any ideas? Get a differant camera brand? My other cameras will work in the ports just fine! View the thread

Windows7 Home Prem...... Started PC in "Safe Mode with Networking"...... Wanted to try to Install a Windows Update in Safe Mode as the Update will not install. At the Safe Mode desktop (and I see SAFE MODE displayed in the Corners)......I click on COMPUTERPROPERITIES....SYSTEM WINDOWS......left side bottom.....all I see is ACTION CENTER....(Link "Windows Update is not there). Tried clicking Start... in search block typed Windows Update, clicked on Link....the Window does not open..... If I cannot get to the Windows Update Window...I have no way to select the Update that I am having issues installing...and wanted to try to install it in Safe Mode. Am I doing something Wrong? Hello y'all, I bought a refurbished HP p6320y w/MSI motherboard,2TB hardrive,8G ram, quad-core Athlon 2.8Ghz,Win7sp1 + essentials. The 2TBhardrive took a dump. I installed a 1TB,7200rpm,Seagate hardrive to replace it until I got the original Hitachi 2TB back. Now, I am not tech-savy enough to install/sync both hardrives internally. Can I use my new 2TB internal Hrdrive by simply plugging it in via USB, or does it need to be installed and loaded w/O.S/drivers professionally?
