This past January I bought a new Toshiba Satellite (L745-S4210) laptop, which came with the full, genuine version of Windows 7 Home Premium. I have the product key on the bottom of my laptop (I'm not sure if I should post it here or not - please let me know if I need to). This past October my computer contracted a virus that required everything on my computer to be uninstalled and erased off the hard drive, and the entire system needed to be rebooted. Everything was going fine until the past two or three weeks. A pop-up on my laptop kept saying, "The Windows 7 Home Premium product key you typed is invalid for activation." I wasn't sure what that meant until the past couple of days, when my screen told me my Windows 7 copy was "not genuine." I've repeatedly typed in the product key listed on the bottom of my laptop to activate Windows, and it will not recognize it. My question is, is there any way I can get my product key to work (or get a different product key) without having to pay for another one? I paid plenty for my laptop to have a genuine version of Windows 7, and I paid a good chunk of money to get my computer rebooted after the virus. I really don't want to have to buy another Windows 7 product key because a reboot wiped out my original one. Is there ANY WAY I can fix this for free? Thank you so much in advance for your help. I am asking for help in using the new interface. For instance if I have a folder called "imgDec2012" and I want to look in the folder for the file I want I don't know how to do this. Typing imagesDec2012 does not show me the folder as one of the things I can click on to narrow my search. Instead it shows me every file in the entire file system that includes "imgDec2012". The search does not show results of folders that match the search criteria. Of course all of this still works fine in the desktop mode but it seems the new interface should have some way of doing this as well. Another related problem is when I am trying to attach a file to an email either web based or the default email program in Windows 8. I am shown files in a folder that is in my documents folder but is not the root. I have to then slowly go up the tree structure and then head back down to the folder that I want to look in for the file to attach. If I try to speed things up and open the search charm it forgets that I wanted to attach a file and asks me how I want to open the file. There is no way to just enter the path for the file that I want. Looking for a file to attach that is not in the Documents folder is an incredibly slow task and if I don't remember the exact path then I am out of luck since I can't search for the file that I want to attach. In one case the folder that contained the file that I wanted to attach did not show up in the list. I was not able to get to the file in this way. In disbelieve I have repeated the procedure of "Go up" then clicking on the folder on my way back down only to discover the folder I need was not in the list. Salve, ho creato correttamente sul mio netbook un gruppo home, abilitando tutte ele condivisioni, il problema è che se accedo il mio tv samsung con la funzione all share, quindi che rileva i computer connessi alla rete , per condividere file multimediali, il pc non viene rilevato. Per esser certo che il tv sia ok, ho creato gruppo home su altro computer, sempre con win 7, e con quest'ultimo, funziona tutto come si deve. Ma con il netbook, impostando stesse cose, accertandomi che il tv compaia nella sezione rete del pc, che dal grupo home sia abilitata la condivisione dei file, sulla tv non compare il netbook. Based on a colleague's recommendation, I just installed Paperport Professional 14 on my Windows 7 machine. I'm having a difficult time figuring it out and don't find the manua terribly useful. I have several questions and am wondering if anyone knows of a good online resource beyond Nuance's tech support? Are there any tutorials available? For example, Can/should I upload all folders in my Documents directory at one time to Paperport Anywhere? (I can't find a way to sync multiple folders at once.) With the few folders I've uploaded, it now takes several minutes for them to load on to my iPad when I open up Paperport Anywhere. Is this normal? How do I auto sync? If I make document changes on my iPad and my laptop on any given day, how does the syncing process work? All suggestions appreciated! Suzanne View the thread

Every logon, although I have disabled two services that run (5cd8f17f4086744065eb0992a09e05a2.exe and trojan.exe) It keeps reappearing. On top of that: I recieve two messages every logon saying "This program was compiled with the unregistered version of eziriz .net reactor." The file 5cd8f17f4086744065eb0992a09e05a2.exe reappears in my startup folder. trojan.exe and trojan.tmp keep reappearing in my temp folder. I disable these in MSCONFIG and they still pop up. I believe this is part of a rootkit infection. Could you help me fix this up? I run Windows 7 home premium 32-bit and I recently removed Windows 8 partition due to a stubborn trojan virus. I also removed a webbrowser hijacker called claro isearch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. View the thread

I am constantly asked to verify my account in order to send messages to my clients. I have a 2000-person mailing list divided into 250-person queues. My messages often won't leave my outbox until I go through the verification process again. This time the message said I can't send too many emails in one day (I'm assuming they are counting all the contacts in the message as individual messages) is there any way to get around this? Thanks.
