Better check that again skippy. English is the language of international
aviation among other things. But, since you have the intelligence of a mold
spore, you wouldn't know things like that. You see, a person with an open
mind, wouldn't make comments especially about things you clearly know
nothing about. Anyone that has seen you post would say YOU are crap.

This is certianly not true.

I only insist that people who WRITE in English use proper grammar.

This would be acceptable if this Forum were a Swahili forum. Since it
is NOT, and the language used here is English, I believe people should
use proper English grammar. And for several reasons:

1) Using proper English grammar won't make you look like an uneducated
slob.
2) Using proper English grammar (if English is not your first
language) would make you look like you know what you are talking
about.
3) Using proper English grammar would make your posts more readable,
as well as easier to understand.

How would YOU like it if I posted in your native language, and used
atrocious grammar? You would not like it, I am certain.

Actually, you should have written "...meaning that people from all
over the world ARE using it."

IF there were only ONE person "from all over the world using it", you
would write "meaning that someone IS using it.

"Are" is used with a PLURAL pronoun, not a singular pronoun.
'Is" is used with a SINGLUAR pronoun, not a plural pronoun.

>Well that is the case, but you seem to demand that everyone must know

Please use a comma between "Well", and the rest of your sentence.

>perfect English. Ok, sure, and I say you must know Swahili. Yeah Swahili is
>nice, and if you don't know it you are stupid.

This would be true IF I were writing in Swahili, to speakers of
Swahili.

>I say lets all start typing in Swahili and not English,

Then, the majority of us would not understand a word any of us wrote,
would we? No common understanding of the language, NO UNDERSTANDING
will be imparted to ANYONE.

>and If I see a
>mistake you make I will laugh.

Since I do not speak Swahili, I could care less, since I would not
know what you wrote.

>English is a language of a MINORITY of the population of the world.

This may or may not be the truth. But here in the U.S., English is
the language of the MAJORITY, not the MINORITY.

If you wish to speak with English speakers, would you start speaking
to them in Swahili? ONLY if you want to make a complete fool of
yourself.

>But since you like vista it doesn't surprise me that you have a closed mind.

But my mind is extremely open, friend. I am being KIND to you. Many
others would simply curse you, and ignore any further posts of yours.

Personally, I would think that you would be GRATEFUL to me for
correcting your English grammar. I could've written a bunch of
groundless accusations as you've done. Instead, I chose to help make
your life better and more productive.

By the way, "snobbish" would be the correct spelling.
But I've never heard of such a "style".

"Bookish", or "erudite" I could understand. But "snobish"? Not
likely.

You are simply under-educated, attempting to have a conversation with
an educated man. (and I'm not that educated, either, since I only
finished the 10th grade.)

>
>but what do I expect? You are a vista luver... that explains everything. The

Here in the English-speaking world, we would spell that "love", rather
than "luv".

>"single most worst" OS ever made.

It's still shoddy English grammar. Repeating it only emphasizes you
INTENTIONAL ignorance.

But that's irrelevant to the subject at hand.
You''ve made an unsubstantiated statement: "Vista is the worst OS in
History." (my paraphrase of your words for the sake of better
understanding).

We already know that you seem to believe this. Now, help us to
understand WHY you feel that way?

THAT is the way to "reason" with men, "vashiita_prime".

Making blanket statements like "Vista is the 'single most worst
product (sic) microsoft has ever produced." is not "reasoning", it is
"taking emotional potshots because of a lack of understanding of what
you're writing about."

But I will accept that you feel the way you do. And you have every
right to feel that way about Vista for YOURSELF. But NOT for anyone
else. They can (and do) speak for themselves, some better than
others.

Additionally, "vashiita prime", you don't speak for "the world". Since
I am part of that "world", you certainly don't speak for me.
Therefore, your statement that "the world doesn't want it" is
obviously a lie (at worst), or a lack of knowledge about the matter
(at best).

Please, friend, take the time to educate yourself a little before
writing to or speaking with your fellow-man.

First of all this is not a FORUM
and then in no place in this NEWSGROUP does it define the language which
must be used.
I have seen people typing German Spanish and various other languages.

If you are accessing this messages from a forum, what is happening is that
the forum is LEECHING the messages from the NEWSGROUP.
You then go to make some stupid points that simply do not apply.

This is not a grammar testing newsgroup. We post ideas, even if they are
misspelled. If you have something to say about my IDEA then go ahead,
quoting grammar mistakes to me is irritating and foolish. You seem to have a
limited mind...
These newsgroups are accessed by the whole world and let me teach you a new
word for what you are doing:

ITS CALLED "NET", or in other words telling people what the content of the
messages should be.

Buzz off you idiot..

>How would YOU like it if I posted in your native language, and used
>atrocious grammar? You would not like it, I am certain.

I would never comment on anything because I understand what newsgroups are..
dahh...

I don't expect everyone to know MY language correctly, and as long as the
post is on topic
that's all I care about! This is the Microsoft.windows.vista.general
NEWSGROUP you idiot.
where does it say anything about English?

Do you have anything to say about Vista? If not SCRAM! You are wasting my
time!

I suggest you use the internet for more than a grammar correcting typewriter
and research on what newsgroups really are
and then be very careful what crap you post around.

You are making a fool of yourself!

Your "ideas" are odious and ignorana, friend. Why not try posting
something GOOD about Vista and Microsoft, instead of constantly
spouting your hatred and ignorance?

Never heard of it, friend.

I've been trying to INSULT you OVER and OVER, since nothing else I say
seems to affect you in any positive way.

That makes absolutely NO sense at all. So WHY did you "comment on
something I said" (After all, "something" IS logically part of the
"anything" Set, and when you make a statement like "I would never
comment", you join that Set)"

Anyway, I asked you if YOU would like it if I insulted YOUR language
by intentionally misusing it.

That question logically calls for a YES answer, or a NO answer, NOT
another of your ignorant and hateful "comments you would NEVER make."

>
>I don't expect everyone to know MY language correctly, and as long as the

And WHERE does it say anything about posting your hateful crap over
and over?

Only a stupid idiot would WANT to post in a language which is not
being used by the MAJORITY of the other posters.

A wise man would look for newsgroups to which he can post in his
native language, and in which he will get much better understanding.
Microsoft has native language versions of its newsgroups. Use them if
your first language is not English, and you have problems with
Standard English grammar.

This newsgroup is one of MICROSOFT's "Peer User Support" groups for
"users of Vista", NOT a comment line for you to constantly post about
your hatred for Vista.

>Do you have anything to say about Vista? If not SCRAM! You are wasting my
>time!

What an ironic statement!!!

It appears to me that you are the one who is wasting his OWN time. You
appear to have nothing to say about Vista which will help to support
your "peers". So YOU "scram", since YOU are wasting OUR time.

By the way, since YOU are so adamantly-anti-Vista, you are certainly
NOT one of our "peers". So you have NOTHING to say in this "peer
support" newsgroup.

>
>I suggest you use the internet for more than a grammar correcting typewriter

Friend, making an issue about whether this is a "forum" or a
"newsgroup" is irrelevant to the "ideas" we are discussing.

"Forums" and "newsgroups" are basically the same (i.e., "they both are
used to perform the SAME EXACT functions.") So you call it what you
want to, and I willl call it what I want to, OK? It's all still the
Usenet we are posting on.

Now, as to your refusal to be corrected: a wise man will be willing
to be corrected, while a fool will not.

You have shown nothing but an UNWILLINGNESS to be corrected. For this
reason, you are the fool, not I.

As far as I am concerned, you are welcome to your misunderstandings
and anti-Microsoft hatred.

But your hateful attitude has nothing to do with Vista "Peer Support",
sir. Please take your hatred somewhere else, where you will be more
welcome.

In this forum (or newsgroup, if you will), we want to help each other
work with Vista. YOU, on the otherhand, have only ONE desire: To
constantly parade your anti-Microsoft hatred before those of us who
are at least willing to LEARN, and who actually see something good in
Vista and Microsoft. We don't need your ignorant and hateful views to
help one another.

There are hundreds of thousands of Usenet Newsgroups or other software
forums on the Internet. Please pick one, and go there, where you will
be more comfortable, and more welcome.

you are that idiot now. Sorry but you bore me too much.

This stupid discussion will result in nothing. You want to make grammar
corrections for some reason, perhaps your goal is to abolish all grammar
mistakes on the internet. Good luck with that goal.. you will need several
billion years to accomplish it...

I will continue using this newsgroup for what it was made, to talk about
vista, either good things or bad.
Vista.general means general discussion. Dah
