Yes, you are posting 12 hours ahead here also, in both your post and the reply to
yourself....8:40 AM tomorrow.
Make sure you really do have your computer set to PM and not AM.

Your time zone appears to be set for GMT-16 hours (?) whereas Pacific
Daylight Time (PDT) is GMT-7 (USA & Canada).

Maybe that explains the 9 hours difference?

According to the guys in the Windows 2000 general newsgroup, my posts are
apparently dated 12 hours ahead. I'm showing that as I write this, the time

correspond to my time. Can anyone tell me the date/time stamp for this post
in this newsgroup? I'm also going to post this on the msnews.microsoft.com

Glen, I'm not sure what to do because everything that I can see looks fine.
I have been using a new computer for 2 weeks now but checking the date/time
properties on the taskbar, the date and time do show PM, not AM. What's
strange is that when I look at the time of your post in OE, it's time
stamped 11:50 AM on the 17th, which means that per what I see your reply was
posted 9 hours before I posted the my question. Why would I be seeing the
opposite of what you see?

Check your headers:

<QP>
From: "DaffyD®" <daffyd@woohoo.com>
Subject: Posting In The Future?
Date: Wed, 17 Sep 2008 20:40:05 -1600
</QP>

That last line should read "Wed, 17 Sep 2008 20:40:05 -0700" for PDT.

You still have a problem. What Time Zone do you see when you

Your headers still show GMT - 16 hours.

Did you push back your system time instead of adjusting your time

I'm going to send a reply to this and then follow it up with one containing
the headers from the first email.

Your post's date & time appear correctly but the above tells us that
something's still wrong. What did you do?

UTC -1600 would put you in Western Australia (e.g., Perth), but then the
date would be Fri., 19 Sept 2008.

You need to adjust both your date and time zone (which should be UTC -0700
for PDT currently).

And if you were, in fact, in WA and your date was correct, the UTC offset
(right now) would be +0800

That's better.
AFAIK, there is no such thing as UTC -1600, despite it showing in his
headers.
