So me and my friend were trying to see what the most hz my monitor can go to, we set the resolution to 480p and 120hz but I didnt notice that we did that on the "(recommended)" display and hz now i dont know how to change it back i tried starting windows in safe mode, it just stuck to the blue "unsupported mode" for my display and i think it might be because we unchecked (in custom resolution utility) all the boxes on the left, how would i fix this without having to factory reset or something like that P.S I also have a question about if you can use your phone as a monitor by just using a usb View the full article

HiI've been using my work's Business account 365 for ages and have the school/work OneDrive in my Windows Explorer, but somehow the Personal one has appeared and I want to get rid of it as I don't use it because I already have my own personal one from my own account. So I googled and it says to go to Users etc and delete it there. I did that but it is still appearing in Windows Explorer. Can I REVERT to a LOCAL user on a W11 install or not ? Microsoft was able to take over and convert my USER to a live.com account, with no permission granted to do so, simply because I logged into Outlook on the browser (so I thought). It now seems that means they take control of your whole laptop. But I need a LOCAL user login, and I cannot now reset. If MS converted me in situ then surely we can revert in situ. There is no 'local account' setting option any more in settings. Hello everyone,Yesterday, my PC crashed twice. First, it completely froze, and after waiting for 2-3 minutes, I had to manually restart it. Coincidence or not, both times the freeze happened while I was using OperaGX (the second time, it happened right after restarting the PC and opening OperaGX).In the event log, the error that appeared was volmgr 162. Hello!I have an Acer Laptop that's been running on Windows 10. However, while I was playing a game it suddenly crashed and won't start up again. In the options it says "continue to Windows 11" and in the boot log it mentions windows 11. However, I never clicked the option to upgrade. I use the xbox wireless headset for gaming on my laptop. But when i play call of duty, the headset become to muffle. It looks like the sound come from someone who calls me. Also the music on the background becomes like a phonecall audio.When i close call of duty the sound is normal again. i was just playing a game when i pressed a key and suddenly it didn't respond. i tried restarting the computer but this did not help at all. This issue has been happening before twice with my old laptop and my wired keyboard. My friends have suspected that i have pressed my keyboard too hard which caused the keys to break, but i have never hit my keyboard with much force i just tap it. Hello,Yesterday before I turned off my computer, I ran an update (maybe it's this KB5048667). Today when I start Windows, I get to the login screen, enter my password, and then a window automatically appears for selecting personalized offers from Windows. Whatever option I give (yes or no), an error appears that something went wrong (OOBESETTINGS MULTIPAGE). I enter through safe mode and from there I can't uninstall the last update. I have often BSOD with variety of errors, like PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA, irql_not_less_or_equal, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION etc. And with variety of files involved , like ntoskrnl.exe, win32kfull.sys etc. I cannot analyze minidump myself, because WinDbg is failing to install (i believe it's due to the same reason why BSOD appears, but I'm not sure). Hi, hopefully somebody can help me!My issue lies in updating my Windows version to the 24H2 version. Once I reboot my pc, it goes quite a way into update progress before I encounter a BSOD. It is either involving Accessing Read Only Memory, or Page Non Fault error codes. I tried using scannow, didn't work. I also tried using the Windows Update troubleshooter, also didn't work. I have XMP profiles on my RAM, but that surely shouldn't have to do with anything. Maybe it could be due to my PSU, but I doubt it. I installed the latest February 2025 Windows update yesterday. I looked at my laptop later to see that a window prompting my bit locker key popped up. I entered that key manually since logging into my Microsoft account showed “something went wrong”After that, it asked me to run a bunch of repairs which I did . Hi,I can add the folder shortcut to the Start Menu and the Quickstart Menu but there is no option there to pin it to the taskbar. In fact, I seem to remember that in Windows 10 I had to add a sub bar to the taskbar first before I could add the shortcut there.I have only recently been upgraded to Windows 11 (didn't have a say in this as our IT dept automatically install Windows 11 if you've trashed your SSD.
