Translation: "Bill" is too Open Source challenged to write software for

Open Source and is scared shitless that Linux will replace Windows and

Why would I want to write Open Sores software? There is no money in it. I

write software to get PAID. I know working is a foreign concept to someone

like yourself but for most of the working world, they need cash.

I am not scared about Linux taking over and replacing Windows. Far from it.

Each time a new INFERIOR version of Ubuntu comes out, nothing has changed.

Oh, maybe they made the spinning cube a little nicer but Ubuntu will always

be a pile of DUNG.

In 8 years when I retire, I think Ubuntu will gain another 0.000005% of the

market! BFD.

People get paid for cleaning streets. I get paid for writing software on

the Microsoft platform. I am not interested in Open Sores software

development. Maybe in 10 years they will be up to minimum wage.

Gee, I'm sorry - I didn't see that mentioned in your post! Of course much

of that computing for national defense takes place ON THE DESKTOP but

then again that obviously doesn't count either.

Why all the antagonism when I agree with you - can't handle that either?

Hey Numbnuts! Is Ubuntu easier to use than windows?? Is Ubuntu easier to

update than windows? Can you run all pertinent software related to any

business that has possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in

there current setups? Can you run any game out there that currently is being

used today? Is it compatible with iTunes or Quicktime? . Is Ubuntu

compatible with 99.9% of all software currently useable with windows? Answer

this if you can. Your answer will be no and you know it! As long as that is

the case then Ubuntu will NEVER amount to anything serious

You KNOW for a FACT that Ubuntu could be hacked if someone chose to hack it!

You KNOW for a FACT that it would be susceptible to malware if someone chose

to write it! You KNOW for a FACT that if EVERY last human KNEW about Ubuntu

tomorrow it would after 5 years still rank a distant 3rd in market share

with less than 0.00010 gain due to the fact that they STILL will not write

any thing for it because it would not be that much of the market! Why do you

think we are still running 32 bit on the majority of computers? simple there

is a majority market for it and as long as there is they will continue! We

will never reach 128 bit and beyond if someone is not forced to abandon 32

bit and go completely 64. At that point start moving towards 128 and so on.
