I just updated my ASUS Zenbook and now have an irritating little glitch with my mouse cursor. It intermittently disappears for a split second while moving around the screen, most often when the cursor is changing to a different style (i.e. hovering over text or a link). I am consistently getting a message that my version of Windows has reached it's end of service, click to download a newer version.When I click, it takes me to to Windows Update, where it says I'm up to date. However it also says I'm missing important security updates with a big red exclamation point. If I press check for updates it just returns the same message. Many years ago I found a VBScript that added "Open Folder Location". This was NOT the Windows Built in "Open Folder Location".* The Windows Default "Open Folder Location" = Takes you out of Search. The Feb update somehow enabled Bitlocker, and when my system locked up after it completed, all I could do was force a power off. When it restarted, the only option I had was Windows Recovery. I could not reverse the latest update because my drive was suddenly locked with Bitlocker and asking for a key to do it. I never enabled Bitlocker, I purchased my system in late '22, and was using a local account, only. I succumbed to doom warnings about my Lenovo not being compatible with WIn 11 and bought an HP Pavilion on Win 11. 1 of the primary apps that I use is MS Money. Yes, I know it was sunset over a decade ago, but it's a really great app. I seem to recall when I upgraded to Win 10 that I was able to increase Money's tiny font size. I built my pc in 2023 and have had no problems with windows until today. I updated my pc last night and when I turned it on today, it says I need to reactivate windows 11. I purchased a physical product key from Amazon when I built the PC and have since thrown that product key away not thinking id need it again. When I try to trouble shoot in settings, it says that it cannot activate windows.
