I have 2 disks for the Windows/Ubuntu dualboot on my laptop. Recently, I have been trying to make a rawdisk vmdk file from the Windows disk, and mount it in a virtual machine (VirtualBox) in the Ubuntu host. I have succeed to create a vmdk file, and the VM booted. However, Windows have decided that my password is compromised and asked me to log in to my account by sending me a code (this is in the VM). The code never sent. I then shut Ubuntu down and booted the physical Windows and now it is deactivated because "the hardware on this device has changed". Troubleshooting returned 0xc0ea000a. Bought a new computer that arrived on the 14th. After setting it up and beginning to install things, I got a BSOD with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, which occured again on the 15th. After searching around for how to fix it, I ended up running the memory diagnostic and check disk, and immediately upon completion of that got another BSOD with error code PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. Over the last few months the BSOD's began and have been happening more frequently (2-3 times a week currently). They usually happen when system is under light load, it has only happened in a game once. From what I discovered googling the errors I am getting it seems to be GPU related. Ever since I updated Windows, the mods for my games have been "corrupted." The quotations are because I checked the mod folders, and all of my mods are where they're supposed to be and seem untouched. However, for some reason, it's as if Windows isn't reading them correctly on the first run because I get an error code as if the file doesn't exist or it's corrupted/broken, but when I run the game a second time, it works just fine. I’m writing this post to express my disappointment in Microsoft. Few years ago I had the exact same problem with another distribution of windows 11.
