I have the StartAllBack program so that I can have my start menu at the top of my screen instead of at the bottom. Since the Tuesday updates on February 11, my StartAllBack icons will not stay, they keep disappearing and I have to redo them. There does not seem to be any pattern to them disappearing. I have tried adjusting with different options in the properties, but it does not work. I would appreciate help. Wish microsoft would put the choice to move the task bar back to the user.View the full article

Hi, so I've just reinstalled windows and after I updated windows and everything I got again this error everytime I start windows. I already try to solve with sfc /scannow, netframework repair tool and enable framework in windows features, nothing works. I don't know if does anything wrong to windows but it's just annoying because this problem occur after I installed the updates thinking that will make my windows stable and not broke it.View the full article

Here's what happenedI installed 24h2 using Installation Tool, then made a quick test to see for errors (I learned of the so many bugs in new version after installing it so I had to do it) first I found no error, but later it caused some problem as some update packages started installing (There were too many of them). Sometime later my device's screen automatically blacked out after a message that stated that a restart is required for updates to be installed or something like that.In moments my headset disconnected and screen blacked out. At first I thought the updates began automatically and tView the full article

Hello,I live in an area where the electricity shuts down several times a week for a few seconds. As a consequence, when I restart the computer and put the PIN, my desktop gives me the message that "sign-in option is disabled for failed sign-in attempts or repeated shuts down...". I have not made several sign-in attempts and the electricity only goes down once per day...Then I have to wait two hours, and when I put the PIN I can login-in again. This is very annoying and stops me from working for two hours each time it happens. Is there a way that I can disable this option and allow me to re-enteView the full article

DUMP FILE: 021625-13843-01.7zi wrote a full description and the page did not post it !!! in summary , i was having an issue of freezing when leaving the PC locked, and decided to format it to fix the issue... after 50 formats figured out that for some stupid reason windows is not accepting another nvme installed during setup, so i had to remove the additional nvme to finally stop the 200 + BSOD i got during more than 50 formats trying to troubleshoot the issues... now after removing the 2nd nvme, finally stayed 12 hours without any BSOD, and then i got one BSOD stating SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTIONView the full article

I recently purchased a 1TB NVME M.2 Kingston SSD to expand storage on my PC. I installed a game to this drive and booted it, causing a 100% repeatable BSOD error with BAD_POOL_CALLER as the error message.I replaced the first SSD with an identical one, however the issue persists. I have done some research, and now sure that there hardware is not faulty, I'm led to believe it is an issue with the drivers.I have found threads instructing that the storage controller drivers need changing, but I'm unsure of what exactly needs to be changed and to what. I do note, there is no NVM Express Control driView the full article

I recently upgraded from Win 10 to Win 11. Before the upgrade my PC worked faultlessly for many years. It has very few "bells & Whistles" as I use it basically for Photoshop, a bit of online shopping and emails. The PC is built on an Asus MOB, AMD Ryzen 7, 32 Gb RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro K2200 GPU. The latest build is 26100.3194 Ver 24H2.My problem is that it will not wake from a sleep condition. When I press the spacebar fans start etc but no screen opens and it appears that the keyboard / mouse are not recognised although I can't actually see the screen. This statement is based on the facView the full article

The touchpad does not work on Windows 11. In the BIOS, the touchpad works fine, but when using the laptop in pants mode, the touchpad does not work. In the Windows settings, in the “devices” section, there is no “touchpad” tab, in addition to this, the combination of FN, as well as the application that I have on my laptop does not include a touchpad for me.View the full article

Hello MS Community,I think the Focus Session feature has a bug. I have it linked to my Spotify account. I wanted to share images to explain this, but apparently, I can't upload images because there's a bug on MS Community that is yet to be fixed. Now, anytime I want to pause or start a session, doing this always opens up a link to Spotify asking me to connect the app with Spotify. Even after doing the integration countless times, and restarting my laptop so the changes get accepted, it keeps on doing the same thing over and over again.I have tried unlinking the app on Spotify, but every time I View the full article

Often, when setting up an account, a verification code is sent to my Gmail address. I then have to access my email through a convoluted process. Is there a way to pin the Gmail sign in link, to the Task Bar? Or, can someone offer a simple solution to this verification process? I am of the un-washed computer users; and sophisticated computer terminology leaves me scratching my head with my hind foot. But I can follow simple step -by-step instructions. Thanks to all for any help they may render.View the full article
