I have a Windows security error indicating my "memory integrity" is turned off. When I attempt to turn it on, I get a message to check for incompatible devices, which I did. "wdcsam65.sys" and "wdcsam65_prewin8.sys" come up as incompatible. I used to have a Western Digital Technologies external hard drive that I no longer use, and given the name of the file I'm assuming that may be the problem? A student began process of setting up a new windows device for BYOD in school, (went ahead without parent or IT coordinator help) but has forgotten the password associated with the icloud account they created. They have not gone far enough through the setup process to have enough details in the account when I have attempted to help them recover the password. I'm using an Asus vivobook s15 laptop. While I was playing a movie, I tried to use the escape to go out from full screen mode I realized it actually stopped the movie instead. after further looking into it i found out the escape now acts as the letter "s" instead. Also I had earlier set my fn key on lock and cant unlock it because the esc key doesn't function. I've tried the Add new keyboard through language settings method but to no avail. Every time the PC is restarted the same message appears:Windows Update > Restart required. Your device will restart outside active hours.I have tried a number of fixes for updates from Microsoft but the problem remains. I just upgraded from Win10 to Win 11 and now have "Windows.old" with many files from my former system. So, I'm trying to do a simple copy of those files to an archive folder. First, Win 11 blocked some by insisting that I get Administrator permission, but it is my personal computer so I granted myself permission. Then Windows Explorer identified some folders I could not copy unless I get permission from "Trusted Installer" which apparently I cannot get. Hello all, On Thursday my cursor froze and I restarted my laptop thinking that it would help unfreeze it, but instead I ended up in a BSOD loop upon restarting. Since then I have tried almost every option available in the Windows Recovery Environment. I have tried: • Continue • Turn off your PC• Troubleshoot And nothing works. All it does it takes me to the BSOD showing different stop codes each time, sometimes I have to enter my bitlocker recovert code to access some of the advance troubleshooting options. I'm using Windows 11, OMEN Laptop. I don't know where to look for help, and I'm VERY paranoid I got a virus. I downloaded a program, and it contained a redistributable file from Microsoft. I installed it and it went fine until it closed and then the default windows installer opened and said "Preparing to install" and would stay on that. If I hit cancel, it'd take a bit and then close, but then reopen and continue the process. Task manager would close it, but would cause an error from it. My Client's laptop did an update. Afterwords it came up and said they need to create a new pin.Logged in with their account ending in @icloud.com. But....I miss-spelled icloud, making it iclould. (Extra L before the D)So it wants to send a code to that email (which doesn't exist).Thought of creating an alias, but the domain part can't be different that what your server hosts.There's NO option to re-enter your microsoft ID!I can't get in to windows.Bitlocker is enabled so I can't get around that without entering my recovery key.Tried to recover the recovery ID, but...Can't recover the key. I’ve been experiencing bsod’s ever since I got this pc, and this is my first ever pc. After my 2nd reset of windows, I was gaming for like 2 hours and then the PC froze. I waited for around 10 minutes but it didn’t respond, so I decided to shut the pc off and turn it back on. I check event viewer and noticed it crashed due to irql not less or equal. Hi there, i've been a daily user of Phone Link since i got my s24 ultra back in october of 2024. I've just been wondering, is it at all possible to configure the app to connect to my s24 ultra through a cable instead of bluetooth? i have a data transfer cable that is specifically used to connect my phone to my PC for obvious reasons. Because of its specific data transfer speed, i can't help but wonder if phone link could work better/faster if it was connected to my phone directly using a very high rate of data transfer cable instead of just bluetooth. I have a new Windows 11 Home PC. I am trying to enable it to detect and read files on the shared USB drive attached to my network router, but the new PC can’t detect it. Bear in mind that I have a second PC (also Windows 11 Home) that CAN detect the USB drive attached to the router, so I know that I’ve got the right IP address for the router and that the sharing settings for the USB drive are correct for sharing across the network.
