About a year ago, I got and installed and ssd, got gamepass and set that SSD as the install location. It then made some folders for gamepass itself. Now that my gamepass has expired and I didn't play any games, i decided to format the drive from file explorer itself. Yet it made those folders once again. I checked the default file install locations in windows and xbox settings and they were both set to my C drive. (My SSD is E drive).After the format, the gamepass folders show up in the ssd still, I can drag and drop files into it from my desktop, but cannot add the drive as an install locatioView the full article

I can temporarily fix the problem by disabling the speaker in settings, re-booting and re-enabling the speaker. The fix will last for a few hours up to a day or so and then stops working again. I've been tracking this for awhile and there is no one application that seems to set it off (or at least, no applications that I would manually open and close). It just seems to quit working randomly and without warning. I've been facing issues with Windows Update for the past few days. Initially, I encountered the installation error "0x800703f1" (screenshot) while trying to update Windows to KB5050021. To fix this, I attempted to reinstall Windows via the recovery settings and downloaded the 23H2 repair version.However, after installation and rebooting, I checked Windows Update again and received an installation error for the repair version (screenshot). Hello.I'm struggling to find out why my PC is started to random shutdown/restarts ( no blue screens), always with the same critical error in event viewer. I have tried MANY troubleshooting solutions including but not limited to: checked RAM. I've stress tested the CPU, GPU, and ram I am absolutely unsure what could be causing this. so basically i was having issues with my "saved games" folder a while ago last year and decided to fully delete it from my pc. For my apex players, this folder houses the videoconfig.txt, profile.cfg, and settings.txt folders needed to modify the games settings and most importantly to fix the glitch where your settings wont save in game by placing read only on them. Ive already searched every other file location possible where those folder could be being saved to and found nothing. Ive also tried finding a regedit path but cant find it anywhere there either. The computer is a HP laptop, 2 yo, totally stock. It started having the BSOD a month or so ago. I have updated the bios and every driver I can find, but no luck. I purchased a new phone and Microsoft Authenicator is now signed out. When I try to sign in, after entering my business email and PW it asks for an Authenicator Code (Why?). I do not have option to sign in another way. I guess I did not set it up so it doesn't offer to me. When I call the Microsoft number they won't talk to me without a case number. I can't sign in by business account to create a case because it again asks me for an authenicator code. I created a new microsoft account to submit a case they asked for a support plan. Hi, I bought a laptop from Germany so naturally it booted and everything in German but I don't speak German so I changed display language, typing and everything to English and as an extra in Greek (since I am Greek) But the language keeps reverting to German and I cant remove the German language from my typing languages.
