When I try to install Sky Drive, my computer responds back and says &quotI can not run Sky Drive using full administrator rights and to please restart Sky Drive without Administrative rights.&quot How do you start without the Administrative rights? I assumed I was logged on to my computer as User/Owner and assumed I have the right to install a program to my own computer? What is going on? Please help? View this thread

I got windows 8 a few days ago and I'm trying to get all the past updates downloaded. However, the same 4 updates get to the point where it restarts and I get the message: "Error configuring updates, reverting changes". When the computer comes back up, windows update shows those updates failed with error code 80070005. Its done this 6 times. Those updates are: KB2779768 (ran through install in less than 5 seconds, then failed, no reboot new error code 80246007) KB2785094 (ran through install in less than 5 seconds, then failed, no reboot new error code 80246007) KB2770917 (ran through install in less than 5 seconds, then failed, no reboot new error code 80246007) KB2756872 (failed as before) Any ideas? Restored computer to factory settings. Trying to update Vista. Service pack 1 downloaded and installed multiple times. Window update manager continues to say that SP1 needs to be installed. Updated Office 2010 to 2013. It stated I had a conflicting program. I uninstalled the program (don't remember what it was) and updated Office 2013 (64 bit) and now when I launch any Office software or access the internet through my FireFox browser it gives me the error: pagefault_in_nonpaged_area (win32k.sys) and automatically reboots my computer. Did all the hardware tests, everything is working. It seems to be a software conflict. Any ideas how I can fix this problem? View the thread

Hello all, We have a new Win 8 pro laptop for a current user. We use roaming profiles. I can log-in to the domain on the laptop just fine. All this confuses me greatly, but sometimes the Updates show a list of many updates, most of which say important. Is it really necessary to install all marked important?Once done can I remove all the older Updates? My system is Vista. The game camera is a Bushnell HD and I can download from an SD card or direct cable to PhotoGallery. However when I play the video all that can be seen is the same screen saver type of moving colors and disigns seen when you play music. My USB disc comes up with the letter 'J'. Because I have references to it with a letter 'X' I want to change it and I do that in the Computer Management tool with the Disk Management utility. Computer - Right click - Computer Management Disk Manegement - Right-click the drive and then click Change Drive Letter and Paths Assigne a new letter Everything works fine but suddenly after a reboot Windows 8 loses the letter 'X' for this disc and assignes 'J' again.
