Hello I've contacted Dell a couple of times and all they have done was tried to update my drivers which didn't work or they had me use a corded keyboard which still had the problem. When typing my keyboard pauses, won't type, types the same character several times, takes up to 30 seconds between characters to be able to type another and than at other times there is zero problems. This can happen several times a day. It happens using IE, Firefox, typing in word, trying to access a website. Its very frustrating. I am using Windows 7 with a cordless keyboard. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem I would appreciate it! View the thread

what does microsoft expect the low-income and middle class xp users to do when microsoft stops support for XP operating system? What about all of our costly software we have installed for xp but it wont work on newer operating systems? just spent 300.00 for security system to catch neighbors stealing from my parts cars, just to find out that XP is done come Feb 2014 1 year from now, but ALOT of EVERYONE'S XP software wont work on Vista and newer operating systems! Just microsofts greed in using frivilous tactics to foce more people to buy their new operating system and then whole new line of software? View this thread

Seven security updates for .NET Framework 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 4.0(KB2729450, 2742596, 2729449, 2736428, 2737019, 2742595 and 2756918) show they have been installed Jan 9, 2013 in the update history and also are shown in the update list of Add/Remove programs window in the control panel for Win XP. However I am repeatedly reminded that these updates need to be installed. How can I fix this? View this thread

WHen using a techinical piece of software the cut/paste option has stopped functioning. Software support technicians seem to think the issue is with MS Office software. The above notation appears: not supported by office clipboard - How do I troubleshoot clipboard issues? The clipboard, cut and paste works in WORD, etc., just not within this techinical software. I no longer am using my Ultimate windows 7 disc, but I have an elderly aunt with a totally messed up Vista system that she bought that desparately needs to be totally wiped. If I'm not going to use my 7 disc can I use it to redo her system or will there be a problem with activation? If she had the abilty to buy that's one thing but she can't and I need to know when I leave her place that I know what is on the system and can monitor her so that she no longer has a system full of spyware, Trojans, porno and the like..........I have built and repaired numerous systems in my time but I've NEVER seen anything as bad as this. My computer with Windos 7 Ultimate when I press shut down, it logs off then goes to shutting downfor about 5 minutes, then the opening screen appears. It will not shut down. It will sleep on command. any fixes? View the thread

After news reports today I decided maybe I should unstall Java. I have Win 7 64 bit with IE. Online videos don't have sound nor does Rhapsody and Netflix. Is there an alternative to Java? The sound is not working for many applications. View the thread

I am unable to get onto any audio options, either by clicking onto sound through control panne, or by right clicking on sound in the task bar. Also when ever i plug in any headset it takes along time for it to recognise that anything has been plugged, I have the same problem with my turtle beach which is a jac and usb as well as my logitec which is usb but is plugged in at the rear of the computer. Can anyone help me with sovling this problem? I m not sure on what info you will need so just post and i will upload it asap.Thanks View the thread

I installed a new C drive about a year ago and with it Windows 7 Professional which was bought in the original Microsoft packaging and which I registered with Microsoft my opening screen on booting up reads "Windows 7 Professional". Occasionally I use Belarc Advisor to audit and print out the details of my system. I have found Belarc extremely accurate and thorough, right down to printing out the correct serial numbers of all my components. When I ran an audit this morning, I was surprised to see that the operating system which Belarc found on my PC is "Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 (build 7601)".Is this another description for Windows 7 Professional?And how can I determine whether I have the latest Service Package (I think its 1) installed?Many thanks View the thread

Because of an Virus I had to perform an cold installation of Windows Vista Home. After completion and performing the software activation I received a message stating that my product is already in use. This was a clean install on the same computer thats over 3 years old. View this thread

My W8 machine lives on a LAN with four other computers (W7 and XP). I was led down the garden path to installing W8 with a hotmail profile, but I really need to change it to a local account to match the other four computers on the LAN. o meu pc tem win7,instalou novas atualizacoes 17 no total.depois de instalar ja nao arrancou.tive que fazer restauro de sistema para voltar a trabalhar.tentei novamente instalar as atualizacoes antes de desligar o pc e depois reeniciei.agora trabalha mas noto que se encontra um pouco lento e por vezes nao arranca a primeira.sei que é por causa da atualizacao porque antes destas serem instaladas nao tinha qualquer problema o pc arrancava super rapido. mais alguem teve este problema?sera que podemos confiar a 100% nas atualizacoes da microsoft?ja vi pcs de amigos a darem problemas por causa disto. Ive just had error report from Microsoft. A problem with a false signiture files. Computer keeps recovering from Blue screen crashes and unable to update essential microsoft files. Microsoft report says BCCodes corrupted X 3 and BC4 806D7E F4. OS Ver 5.1 2600 SP3.product 768_1 is causing the problem. C:DOCUME 1HPLocals 1tempWER@084dir00mini011113-01.dmp.dir00sysdata. I am unable to update critical files in microsoft updates. It seems that microsoft has been taken over. I am only able to write this as I am in Norton Safe mode otherwise it keeps showing error. connection to microsoft goes on and off. Although I have everything secured by plusnet and Norton and show system ok. Can someone please help me deal with this problem at Microsoft. View this thread
