I agree. It a malicious, devious and negative way to get a message across and ends up turning more people off than on.
People are smart. They can recognize when somebody is being aggressive and over the top - even if they are not regulars to a particular forum / message group.

Did you know you can hold down the "Ctrl" key and move the mouse scroll up and down to change icon size?
That same bug happened to a buddy of mine. When he adjusted the icons using that method it stopped. Good luck.

Tell me the status of "WMI Performance Adapter" under services.
Click "Start(Orb)", Right Click "Computer", then "Manage", then "Services and Applications" then "Services" to find it.
Also check your event log while you are in there. Look for any WMI problems under the "Application" or...
Perhaps your H/D has a bad sector? Use a boot disk like Ultimate Boot CD - Overview and boot up with a CDROM. Run one of the disk diagnostic tools.
